Prepping for Tat Days!

Hobby Lobby in Greenwood is out of the little red plastic bows - like the one I put on my wreath.  Know why?  'Cause I bought 'em all, that's why!!

They are going to Tat Days with us in less than two weeks.

In other news, I recently celebrated another year and my sweet David gave me something I've wanted for a long time - an end-of-day shuttle!  Ain't it purty!!

  1. I'm going to steal that husband of yours, pack him in my suitcase and bring him back home with me. Such a sweet man.

  6. They're in the Christmas trims section. If your store is laid out similar to ours, they should be on the first rack on the main aisle, to the left when you come in the store and pass the registers. Go almost to the wall, and they should be on the rack on the right.

  7. What is an end-of-the-day shuttle? I've not heard of these. Where did your husband find it? It is beautiful : )

  8. As I understand it, right before the end of the day, all the leftover liquid plastic material was poured together in the moulds - more of a "waste not, want not" thrift practice than a purposeful design. Shuttles like these have so many colors although the main ones seem to be dark reds and silver-greys. Mine has a triangular patch of green on one side (like the end of a leaf!) and a yellow patch.

The same thing was done with glassmaking - don't know if it's still a practice, but you can find antique end-of-day glass goods like baskets, paperweights, pitchers, etc.

It's an eBay find - he and I have found a lot of neat stuff there.

I did leave some stuff at HobLob! I didn't buy ANY of the mirrors with the sparkly frames OR the artificial flowers! ;-)
